May 15^th – The Grand Master will be conducting an area meeting at Campbell Lodge #374. Meal at 6:00, Lodge opens at 7:15. All members wishing to attend the meal should let their Lodge secretary know by May 1^st if possible. The secretary’s should then give a count to the DDGM who will report the total’s for all Lodge’s to Campbell Lodge. Make sure you mark this date on your calendar so we can come out and show WBro. Dave Cash our full support.

 May 21^st – Cut of date for bus ride to St. John’s Day. Sign ups are going good.

Wilkerson College Lodge #760 is a traveling lodge that is in existence for the purpose of Masonic Education.  The Lodge meets in different locations across our state and sponsors Masonic Education programs.

 Wilkerson College Lodge #760 will meet at the Statesville Lodge building on East Front on Saturday, June 14th.  The Lodge will open at 11:00 A.M. and close by 12:30.  Lunch will be held, and right after lunch everyone will be invited upstairs for the education program.  Wives, friends, Masons and non-Masons alike are always invited to attend the lunch and education program.

 The program that day will be "The Father of Prince Hall Masonry".  This will be a historical program about Prince Hall. Tom Gregory will be the presenter, and local Prince Hall Masons and their wives have been invited to attend. 

 It is hoped that local A.F.&A.M. Masons and their wives will attend the lunch and program as a way to get to know our neighbors a bit better.  Please let Tom Gregory or Joe Link know how many might attend from each lodge so lunch can be adequately planned.

 June 1^st – The Red Work Classes will continue. They were first scheduled to end after April but due to the support shown for this class by those in attendance and their desire to continue learning and improving their selves in Masonry it was decided to continue the classes as long as members wish to attend and learn. The next class will be on Sunday, June 1^st. This is the first Sunday in June instead of the last Sunday in May due to the Holiday weekend. It will be decided then if we’ll have another class on the last Sunday in June which has 5 Sunday’s or schedule the next one for the last Sunday in July. We would like to send a special thank you out to WBro. Keith Rash, of DDGL for giving of his time in helping make these classes a success. We also want to thank WBro. Henry Brantley our Grand Lecturer for attending when he can and helping to demonstrate the floor work. Not only do we continue to understand and learn the read work but the side discussions between the way things are doing is very informative.

June 21^st – St. John’s Day will be on Saturday, June 21^st. WBro. Doug Caudle has reserved a bus from Burke Christian Tours that will hold 46 people. The cost would be $20.00 per person. Cut off date to have at least 30 riders is May 21^st. The bus will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot in Statesville at 6:00 AM. This is considerably less than the cost of driving there and back in your personal car. If you would like to reserve a seat please send a Check for $20.00 per person for each seat reserved to Joe Link at Statesville Lodge #27, P.O. Box 171, Statesville NC 28687 or you may give your check to WBro Lloyd Weatherman or WBro. Keith Rash. We are asking for payment in advanced so we don’t rent the bus and have a lot of no shows. All checks will be held until we have 30 seats reserved. Please mark St. Johns Day in the memo note line of the check so it gets to the right fund. This is open to all Masons, their family’s, friends, potential candidates, members of the OES. Please help pass the word. We can get a larger bus or a 2^nd bus if we have enough interest.
